Research

Our research areas include (1) ‘Art Becoming Public’, which addresses exhibition histories and how these shape future possibilities, via institutions and beyond; and (2) ‘The Work of Art’, which focuses on researching through the work of art, while interrogating the scope and parameters of this commitment. Recently, we have also been looking into (3) ‘Art Pedagogy’ through interrogating the present and potential futures of teaching and learning about and through art, in particular the current crises of labour, education and issues of visibility.

We are engaged in Postgraduate Study through collaborating on the MRes Fine Art: Exhibition Studies course and supporting doctoral students at Central Saint Martins.

We also have a various research initiatives realised though partnerships and networks.
