Reading lists

As a response to global conflict and extraction, we want to highlight the important work being done by cultural workers. We invite cultural workers, individuals or collectives, based in their local context to develop a reading list. The reading list is not limited to texts, and can include a films, artworks and other mediums.

NoteBook

NoteBook is a collection of writings by students and graduates of CSM who are nurturing and developing their writing practice. They are written, recorded observations and descriptions that form a foundational part of the writers’ own research. Sometimes they are in the form of interviews or review of current exhibitions.

Writer-in-Residence

The residency is for writers who are from under-represented and underserved groups to develop their writing and research practice over a six-month residency at Afterall. Up to three pieces of writing is developed over the course of the residency period and published on our website.
