Welcoming Rada Georgieva: Il Posto–Afterall Editorial and Research Fellow

We’re delighted to announce that Rada Georgieva has been selected as the inaugural Il Posto–Afterall Editorial and Research Fellow.

Rada is a researcher and PhD candidate at The Courtauld Institute of Art. Her research focuses on mail art and samizdat networks between the Eastern Bloc and Latin America (1970–95), with particular attention to Bulgaria, the USSR, Chile, Uruguay and Argentina. Through her study of experimental publications and dissident visual practices, she challenges centre–periphery dynamics and highlights forms of transnational cultural resistance during the Cold War.

Rada will be based at the AfterallResearch Centre, Central Saint Martins for the duration of her fellowship, which runs from July 2025 to July 2026. We’re excited to begin this new chapter and to continue fostering critical, collaborative, and diverse conversations around Latin American art in partnership with Il Posto.
