Please join us to hear the editors of a new anthology on ‘curatorial anachronics’ present their publication, Of(f) Our times, at Central Saint Martins. Beatrice von Bismarck and Rike Frank will discuss how their project rethinks the artistic, curatorial and writerly possibilities of exhibition histories for art, with a response to the book from Lucy Steeds.

Of(f) Our times: Curatorial Anachronics is published by Sternberg Press.

Beatrice von Bismarck is Professor of Art History and Visual Studies at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst (HGB) / Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig.

Rike Frank is a freelance curator and writer living and working in Berlin.

Lucy Steeds is a Series Editor for Afterall’s Exhibition Histories books and a Reader in Art Theory and Exhibition Histories at University of the Arts London.

Copies of Of(f) Our Times: Curatorial Anachronics will be available to purchase afterwards, as will copies of Exhibition, Design, Participation: ‘an Exhibit’ 1957 and Related Projects, which is the basis for reflection in the contribution by Lucy Steeds to Of(f) Our Times.

This event is presented in conjunction with the BA Fine Art programme, Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, as a part of the Monday Guest Lecture Series.
