Events The Potosi Principle
Please join Afterall at the new Central Saint Martins College
campus on Wednesday 8 February 2012 for a discussion of the
controversial exhibition, 'The Potosi Principle' with its
curators Alice Creischer, Andreas Siekmann and Max Jorge Hinderer.
The exhibition, on the circulation of art and wealth during Spanish
colonial rule, will be considered in terms of the correlation
between the concurrent global circulations of money and art.
The discussion will be moderated by one of Afterall's

MRes Art: Exhibition Studies – calling new students!
The recently launched postgraduate course MRes
Art: Exhibition Studies is now in its second year, and it's
time to invite a new wave of applicants. The course is run by and
in conjunction with the editorial team of Afterall, and is located
at the new
campus of Central Saint
Martins College of Art and Design in Kings Cross. The

Afterall co-founder Charles Esche wins 4th Princess Margriet Award
We're delighted to announce that Charles Esche, co-founder of
Afterall, regular lecturer on the MRes Art:
Exhibition Studies course at Central Saint Martins and
director of the Van
Abbemuseum in Eindhoven, has recently been awarded the
4th Princess Margriet Award from the European Cultural
Foundation, to be presented in March.
The Foundation state that Esche was selected ‘for his
exceptional leadership in rethinking centres and museums of art as
public spaces that show us the power and value of art in engaging
with the contemporary world.’
